Area YIA

 Tours completed in 2008

  • Domestic Tours (ages 15 and up)

    1. Lakeside, Arizona (June 21-29)
Located near an Apache Indian reservation, the work among the Seed of Joseph is a high priority of this branch.  YIA participants had the opportunity to invite people from the surrounding area to attend church and assisted with Vacation Bible School.

    2. Detroit Branch 1, Michigan (July 11-20)
As we have done other years when the GMBA Campout was held in Michigan, we offered a YIA tour immediately following the Campout. This allowed participants the opportunity to attend both events while holding down travel costs.

    3. Liberty, Ohio (July 20-27)
The new church building is beautiful.  Participants were active in neighborhood canvassing and other activities.  The first weekend was the Midwest Regional Conference so the first Sunday meeting offered the opportunity to see brothers and sisters from the entire region.

International Tours (ages 18 and up)

    4. Guatemala (August 8-18)
The church in Guatemala includes a large group of young people (ages 18-25) and they were pleased to spend time with the young people from the U.S.  Those with musical ability were encouraged to consider this tour to assist with musical outreach functions.

    5. Mexico City (August 8-18)
YIA participants who attended past tours in Sinaloa and Pedernales witnessed great things.  This was the third tour in Mexico.

  • Many, many young people over the years have experienced God's blessings and spiritual growth by participating in the Youth in Action program.
  • Don't miss out on the opportunity to be a part of it in 2009!
